Meesha created this design to ignite a fierce + bold energy within whomever it is worn by. Her intention for creating these earrings is to symbolize female empowerment in the face of adversity. Entirely sculpted, detailed + assembled by hand. No molds are used for this piece!
According to Greek mythology, Medusa was once a beautiful + irresistible mortal. However, her beauty captivated Poseidon + the myth describes him attacking Medusa + violating her trust. Enraged with jealousy, Athena transformed Medusa's beautiful hair into serpents! Perseus was sent to slay + behead Medusa to end her life and, upon her death, Pegasus emerged from her body. This story continues + leads to another design in this collection.
